Getting to Mica Lodge
AIR TRAVEL
Our lodge is most easily accessible from Kelowna International Airport in British Columbia. From there, your trip includes round-trip ground transportation to Mica Lodge.
Travel Tip: We recommend you always fly with your boots as your carry-on luggage. For international guests, if your luggage does not make it, we can still get you out riding with borrowed gear.
GROUND TRAVEL FROM KELOWNA OR REVELSTOKE
For our Classic Program guests, we provide round-trip ground transportation on our private shuttle from Kelowna via Revelstoke to our lodge staging.
HELICOPTER CHARTER FROM KELOWNA OR REVELSTOKE
To reduce travel time for our Classic Program guests, we are happy to assist in arranging charter helicopter transportation from Kelowna or Revelstoke directly to and from our lodge. Please contact us at reservations@micaheli.com for details and pricing.

Our Mica Shuttle departs Kelowna at approximately 8:00-8:30 am PST on the first day of your tour. After a brief stop in Revelstoke, you will continue 150km north to our helicopter staging area for a short flight to our lodge, arriving around 2:00 pm PST.
Departure
On the last day of your tour, you will depart the lodge after a half day of skiing and travel to Kelowna via Revelstoke by shuttle. The shuttle arrives in Kelowna at approximately 7:00-8:00 pm PST.
Accommodation
To avoid possible delays, we encourage you to plan your Kelowna arrival and departure for the evening before, and the morning after, your stay at Mica Lodge.
We are pleased to offer preferred rates at various hotels in Kelowna and Revelstoke. You are encouraged to make your own hotel reservations and, when booking, please advise the hotel you are a Mica Heliskiing Guest to receive the preferred rate.
Packing List
All guests are transferred by helicopter from staging to Mica Lodge. It is important that luggage is packed appropriately to ensure safe and efficient helicopter transfers.
Please review our packing list for suggestions and refer to our packing guidelines for luggage size, type and weight considerations.
Travel Tip: We strongly recommend guests fly with their ski boots as carry-on luggage to ensure they are not delayed if checked baggage is. We also recommend packing spare goggles and gloves if possible.
To Note: Due to electrical interference with avalanche transceivers, guests are not allowed to wear heated gloves in the field. Please come prepared with alternative gloves or mitts.
NB: You may be charged a minimum $500.00 for additional flights required to transport excess or improperly packed gear to and from the lodge.
Limited Emergency Medical Insurance
Mica obtains limited Emergency Medical Insurance coverage for all confirmed guests. View a summary of the Emergency Medical Policy to ensure it meets your needs.
This policy ONLY covers you from the time you arrive at Mica Lodge until midnight on the day of your departure from Mica Lodge. We recommend you purchase additional coverage to meet your needs and cover those portions of your trip not spent at Mica Lodge.

Mica strongly recommends that you purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance.
- Your inability to complete your booking due to reasons outside of your control including, without limitation, travel issues, closed borders, and local viral outbreaks, is at your sole risk and such inability will be deemed as you cancelling your booking at that time.

Policy if a Guest Cancels their Own Tour
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us by email to reservations@micaheli.com or call us at 1-877-837-6191. Your cancellation is only effective at the time we confirm the cancellation in writing to you. In this situation, you have the following options:
a) Your booking may be transferred to another adult. Mica must approve of the replacement guest and reserves the right to refuse a nominated replacement for any reason. If financial arrangements remain between you and your replacement guest, we are happy to make this switch for you without applying service charge. If, however, Mica is required to collect payment from your replacement guest directly before refunding you, your refund will be reduced by 5% of the total pre-tax booking charge;
b) Make a claim on your Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance. Mica will provide you with booking information to support your claim; or
c) Ask Mica to attempt to find a suitable replacement for you. Mica provides no assurances that we can find a suitable replacement. If we are able to confirm a replacement, we will refund your payments less 20% of the total pre-tax booking charge.
If you opt for a replacement and neither you nor Mica find a suitable replacement prior to your tour start date, no refunds will be provided to you.
Policy for a Full Cancellation by Mica Prior to Your Tour
Mica may cancel your booking for any reason and at any time prior to your scheduled arrival day on written notice to you. In this situation, you have the following options:
a) Apply any amounts paid towards an available tour later in the current season;
b) Defer your reservation to a tour the following season at pricing for the current season and apply all amounts paid to the new reservation; or
c) Receive a full refund, release your seat(s) back to Mica, and relinquish future consideration of those seats.
Refunds will be in Canadian Dollars via your original payment method and/or wire transfer. No adjustments will be made to the refund to account for differences in the exchange rate between the time payment was made and the refund was issued.

Be sure to send us your travel plans and accommodation information once you have finalized your travel plans.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Mica! Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. We are here to help you every step of the way.
Best,
