As we make our way towards the middle of October, the changing of the season is all about us. The leaves are turning all sorts of bright colors, and one by one the habits of summer make way for the habits of winter. One of the great things to do in Revelstoke during the summer is head to the weekly farmer’s market. Sadly, the changing of the seasons means there will only be two more held, with the last one on October 23rd. Another activity from this past weekend that marks the change of seasons was the Harvest Palooza held by the North Columbia Environmental Society. This was the first year for the event, and it turned out to be quite a success. The event will surely be a staple of the fall calendar to come, adding yet another cultural activity for locals and visitors alike to enjoy.
While these are great examples of why Revelstoke is such a great place to live and visit, we here at Mica Heli Guides are more interested in what comes after the season has finished changing. Or to be more specific, we're sitting here dying of anticipation for all the powder that will soon cover our tenure. We can't wait for that first day of heliskiing in December, when we finally get to start charging lines and carving up the slopes.
At over 177,000 acres, we have plenty of slopes to carve up, and many haven't ever been touched by a ski or snowboard. A
heli ski vacation with us is a rare and unique experience. We offer only small group tours, which means you and your family or friends get to session the mountains as you like. We here at Mica pride ourselves on adapting the day's activities to the desires of your group, and because you're not grouped with anyone else, you get to decide how things go. This not only makes for a more exciting and enjoyable day, it also keeps you safer. However, small groups mean there isn't that much space on our tours to begin with, and they're already filling up fast for this year. If you're ready to experience the joy of
heliskiing, book a tour with us today.
