Just like us here at Mica Heli Guides, the Revelstoke Nordic Club has been getting ready for winter. This past weekend they held their first-ever dry-land training camp. The camp was for kids, and 64 young skiers showed up to start training for the upcoming season. The training consisted of roller-skiing, running, weight training, swimming, and many other activities. They also toured some of the ski touring areas nearby.
Most people that visit our tenure here on the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies just north of Revelstoke come for big mountain
heli skiing or boarding, but we also offer a great ski touring package as well. Perfect for everyone, our heli touring package is a great way to explore the amazing alpine heights. The helicopter really opens up some spectacular terrain for exploration. Normally to access this type of terrain for ski touring, you'd have to carry a big pack and trudge through long valleys. With the helicopter, you get to the best terrain quick and easy, ready to explore the best parts.
While our beautiful terrain is a pleasure to explore in many different ways, the downhill bits take the cake. Our tenure is filled with steep chutes, alpine powder bowls, glacier runs, perfectly spaced tree skiing, and numerous pillow lines. You name the feature, and we've got it. Whether you go ski touring or heliskiing, you'll love the enormous amounts of B.C. champagne powder that covers our tenure every year. The powder here is pretty much perfect: deep and super dry. You'll also enjoy a stay in our luxurious backcountry lodge, which is perched above the picturesque Kinbasket Lake. The upcoming season is looking as epic as ever, so make sure to reserve your spot with us soon. Many of our tours have already sold out, so don't miss out on the best backcountry around.
