Peter Behnchke, a member of the Revelstoke Ski Club, was selected to be part of Team B.C. at the recently completed Canada Winter Games. The Games were held over two weeks in Nova Scotia and featured all kinds of sports. Behnchke took part in the giant slalom, super combined, and slalom. In the giant slalom he recorded his best result, a ninth place finish. In the super combined he finished in 13th in the super G portion, but unfortunately didn't finish the slalom portion. In the regular slalom race on the last day of alpine skiing, he took a solid 13th. Team B.C. did well overall in the skiing and snowboarding events. Broderick Thompson won the super combined, earning one of the medals that helped but B.C. third in the medal count once the Games were finished.
