The 2011 Powder Video Awards and Reader Poll have been announced for January, 28th. Held every year since 2000, the Awards have become the ultimate ski awards in the industry. The Video Awards cover 15 different categories, including Best Line, Breakthrough Performance, and Best Cinematography. Part of the Awards show is also the Reader Poll. Voting is now open to the public to choose their 10 most favorite male skiers, and their 5 most favorite female skiers. Seth Morrison and Shane McConkey are the only two males to ever win the award. The question for this year is whether Morrison will win his fifth award in as many years. The awards will take place during the Winter X Games in Aspen, but an exclusive viewing will also be held in Denver. If there was ever an event that packed the biggest names in the industry, both the athletes and those behind them, the Powder Video Awards is it. While attendance is invite only, the rest of world will be able to watch a live webcast. Heli skiing BC.

The Best Line award has gone to various skiers over the years, always representing those at the top of their game. While the award celebrates the athletes, it also shows which ski areas are setting the standard for big mountain skiing.
