Your entire outdoor experience could be drastically changed depending on where you actually choose to set up your camping site. Depending on the way you set up your camp and plan its location, you could either end up having a nice, enjoyable time in the outdoors or a difficult to manage camping disaster. By finding a good camping location, you can really create the difference between a great night’s sleep and a pretty bad night’s sleep. The necessity for finding a good camp site is much greater whenever you are in a situation where you have to deal with difficult weather too. Expert heliskiing
Here are some guidelines in finding a good spot and orienting your Tent:
Although it is generally a good idea to have your camp area somewhere that is a little bit higher than areas in the vicinity in order to avoid having a flooded camp, it is also always best not to take this philosophy towards camping too far. Putting your camp area all the way at the top of some hill or mountain is never a good idea. The reason for this is that an area that is too high up is usually much more prone to suffer from difficult to withstand, windy weather which could even bring the entire tent down. You could also end up having to deal with possible lightning danger if you position your camp too high up. It is truly best to find the middle ground in this situation. Extreme heliskiing
It is not too hard to determine what types of characteristics you should be on the lookout for. It is usually a great idea to look for good natural obstacles near which you can place certain elements of your camp. If you find a good concentration of trees and rocks in an area, it may be a good idea to put your tent near them in order to have a good barrier against rain, wind and sun (many adequately sized objects can be used in order to provide a good source of shade in very sunny conditions).
It is generally considered a good idea to place your camp near a decent source of water such as a type of stream or river of some sort if it is at all possible. This gives you a viable method for cleaning up and doing dishes (if you have any). You should try to make sure that you can put your camp high enough to avoid any dangers of flash floods or things like that.
